Before you start
It's free. No fees, no premium tiers, no paying for placement. Ever.
What we ask for. A free account, the business you're claiming (or its name and address if we don't have it yet), and a signed statement that you're an owner, partner, or authorized officer — and that it isn't majority-owned by private equity or a corporate parent, publicly traded, or a franchise.
How long it takes. A few minutes. Most claims go through as soon as you sign. If we've flagged the business as PE-owned or a franchise, it stays off the map until a person reviews an ownership document.
Want a stronger badge? Optionally upload one document — a state business registration, business license, articles or operating agreement cover page, K-1, or an ownership certification, from any state (redact the money). A person checks it against public records for your state and we'll email you when you're Verified Independent.
Once it's yours. Fix your details, tell your story, say whether you're hiring, and post jobs for free — all from your dashboard.
